COLLINGSWOOD CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS 

Our residents are engaged citizens and are what make Collingswood such a great place to live. The town has many community and volunteer groups spanning a variety of interests.  From the American Legion to non-profit charities, to an amazing theater troop, Collingswood has something for everyone.  Get involved, have fun, make a difference...your fellow "Collingswoodians" can't wait to meet you! 

The Borough hosts Get Up, Collingswood. This event is a fun-filled, family-friendly event where the borough invites community groups to come highlight their organizations for residents to get to know them and volunteer in initiatives throughout town.

Collingswood Green Team
We are always looking for new members to join the Collingswood Green Team. The team works to create an environmentally friendly community and improve the quality of life in Collingswood through the support and creation of sustainable programs and practices. It is a collaborative effort in which volunteers work with borough officials, local businesses, residents, schools and other community organizations to foster and initiate programs and raise awareness throughout town to enhance the quality of life for current residents and for future generations.

Collingswood Civic Collective

The purpose of the Collingswood Civic Collective is to promote historical preservation, to foster
community involvement, and encourage volunteerism to benefit the Collingswood community.
This effort will include involvement with Collingswood Borough residents, businesses, and
government. A further purpose of the Collective shall be the educational and charitable benefit
of the community. 

The Collingswood Civic Collective will be hosting popular community events such as the Home & Garden Tour and the Collingswood Community Yard Sale.

We host support group meetings virtually the 2nd Monday of the month and in-person at the Collingswood Community Center on the 4th Monday of every month - both at 7 PM. 

Collingswood Community Theatre
The Collingswood Community Theatre stages 4-5 productions per year. Shows differ throughout the production year, from presentations of large, well-known musicals, to smaller dramas and comedies. Productions are staged in the Collingswood Grand Ballroom and the Scottish Rite Auditorium, a 75-year-old theater that seats 1,000+. All facilities are handicapped accessible.  All cast members are residents of Collingswood, NJ, and casts range in size from small productions, with only 2-6 performers in a cast, to All-Town Musicals, with over 100 performers on stage! Ages of cast members range from 8 years to 80+. Some shows are comprised of mixed-age casts, some are all-adult productions, and others are comprised of our younger performers.

Collingswood Community Chorus
Love to sing? Looking to make new friends? The Chorus is always seeking new members for each season. Community Chorus holds two major yearly performances that are free to the public at the Scottish Rite Auditorium (315 White Horse Pike).  Collingswood and non-Collingswood residents are welcome to join the chorus! No prior singing experience necessary. Membership Dues are $25 for Collingswood residents and $50 for non-Collingswood residents.  For more information contact the group at Collscommunitychorus@gmail.com. Collingswood Rotary
Rotary is a group of professionals and businesses that work to make a difference in the community. Friends of the Farmer’s Market
Friends of the Farmers’ Market is a non-profit, volunteer civic organization that provides support services to the Collingswood Farmers’ Market; we want to help it remain a great community-based initiative that supports family farms in New Jersey and enhances life in Collingswood and the whole surrounding area. We staff the information tent, sell Market merchandise, help with special events, and our mission grows as we find more ways to be helpful! Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library is a community based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the financial needs of the Collingswood Public Library and encouraging education and cultural development within the community. The Friends is governed by a volunteer executive board which works in collaboration and partnership with the Library Director, Board of Trustees, and Library staff to provide financial and educational support where needed. The Friends provide financial support primarily through membership dues, fundraising, and used book sales. We invite you to be a part of our organization and give your support to make the Collingswood Public Library the finest in our region.
