Based on the Dreamworks smash hit film, Shrek the Musical follows the story of one very grumpy ogre (Shrek, played by Ryan Adams) who lives alone in a swamp. When the insecure and conniving Lord Farquaad (Patrick Waldron) expels all of the fairy tale characters from his kingdom, Shrek is forced into an epic adventure that will see him joined by an over-enthusiastic talking Donkey (Jeff McGrail) and a not-so-by-the-book Princess Fiona (April Lindley) with a secret or two up her sleeve. Perfect for children, but with bawdy humor for adults, Shrek the Musical marries the comedy of the original film with spectacular musical numbers added for the Broadway production. Beyond the belching and coarse humor that made the Shrek franchise a hilarious success, the musical boasts the message, “We are all unique, we are all different, and we are all worthy of love.”

With a cast of 55 characters, a top-notch orchestra (under the direction of Brian Kain), stunning choreography (Katie Scharff), gorgeous costumes (Ellen Geigel) and a professional set, you won’t want to miss this CCT production.
