Sergeant Thomas Hamilton presented the Patriotic Employer award to Mayor James Maley and Collingswood Police Chief Richard Sarlo at the April 2012 Commission Meeting. The award, from the Office of the Secretary of Defense, honors employers who “contribute to National Security and protect liberty by supporting employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force.”

“Although I feel that it was an honor to receive an award from the United States of America recognizing our efforts in supporting our troops while they are being deployed to help keep our country safe, I do believe that the real thanks should be given to Sergeant Hamilton for his dedication and selflessness efforts in his role in keeping our nation safe,” said Chief Sarlo.
